Keeping in Line to Sustainable Labour Of Grace.

Text: 1 Cor 15:8-11, 2 Cor 11:23; Math 10:20; Rom 15:18; Phil 2:13.

One of the outstanding skills of Jesus Christ in his preaching ministry and his remaining in it unto fulfillment; finishing and his success is his consciousness and total dependence on the spirit of his father he was carrying in his heart.

From time to time he told his disciples about his father. He would ask them do you believe that any father is in me and me in my father? John 14:10; John 10:38.

At another time he would tell them; I can do nothing except what I see my father do; I can preach or teach nothing except what my father teaches me (Joh 5:19, and 30; John 12:49-50.

Paul on encountering Jesus also recognizes the spirit of Jesus Christ he was carrying in the spirit exchange at salvation 1 John 4:13; called it the spirit of the grace of Jesus. He boasted of laboring more than others but suddenly recognized that it is not him but the grace / the spirit of Jesus that worked through him.

By recognizing and depending on him, he was able to abide in ministry, passed all temptations and challenges, and finished his course in soul-winning unto old age ready to die (2 Tim 4:5-8) what about you?

What Must you do to Remain in Preaching Ministry till Old Age/Death/Rapture?

1. You must start now to believe that your preaching the gospel is not all about you but all about God. It is the father’s business more than your business: Lk 2:49; Rom 12:11.

2. You must be conscious of the fact that you are carrying Jesus' spirit in you; you are not alone; proved by the tongue-speaking sign you received from God; Mk 16:17; 1 John 4:13.

3. You must, therefore, develop a relationship with him more important than anything that matters in your preaching ministry Phil 3:10; Joh 8:55; Joh 10:14-15.

4. You must trust and obey him in all issues of your preaching ministry: time to preach, time to rest from preaching time to give the spirit chance to minister to the audience and time you must not; time to stop preaching and time to continue to preach; time to pray and time to plan. Absolute dependence on the spirit of grace you carry (2 Cor 3:5-6; John 5:19; and 30; Math 10:20).

2. You must learn the skill of seeing Jesus on the cross in your imagination and thought life always at all times in whatever you are doing: Heb 12:2-3; 2 Cor 10:4-6.

3. You must learn the skill of recognizing his voice in you whenever he speaks; receive his doctrines; his instructions; commandments; counseling’s and his messages and be able to retain them in your memory by rehearsing them to him in prayers or writing them down on paper. 1 Samuel 3:9-11; 1 Kg 19:2-13; John 10:27.

4. You must develop a close relationship with spirit of grace / Jesus you carry by studying your bible always and dutifully disciplining yourself to preach the gospel according to a time table of program you have drawn for yourself; no matter how busy, have a time you must go and preach regularly despite always, preaching opportunities: Acts 5:42; Acts 6:4 and 7; 1 Tim 4:14-16.
